Bombardier is investing approximately $100 million into a massive new production facility located in Dorval, Canada, located in Quebec. Situated in close proximity to the company’s existing assembly and finishing hubs, this 126,000-square-foot site is expected to be operational by the close of 2027.

The project aims to streamline manufacturing efficiency and is being partially funded through a $35 million loan provided by a Quebec-based economic development agency. By expanding its physical footprint, the aerospace firm intends to strengthen its infrastructure to better accommodate future industrial scaling and maintain its competitive edge in the business aviation sector. This expansion grows the company’s already substantial contribution of $7.4 billion to the Canadian GDP and an existing job base of 50,000.

Independent studies have repeatedly shown that business aviation is a key driver of job creation, as part of the general aviation sector, which supports more than 1 million jobs and $340 billion in economic activity annually.
